馃槢Language: The main language spoken in Iceland is Icelandic, however, staff in touristy areas and most locals know English.

馃挼Currency: The currency in Iceland is called Icelandic Kr贸na (kr), however, most places will accept both the US Dollar (USD) and the Euro.

馃攲Outlet: The standard Europlug socket (with 2 round prongs) is what is found throughout Iceland. You can use the type “C” or type “F” adapter types. The standard frequency is 50 Hz, and the standard voltage is 230 V.  Make sure to bring the appropriate adapters if your devices have different plug types to ensure they can be used without any issues during your trip.

馃挸Cards: Credit and debit cards are used everywhere and very rarely do people pay with cash (on my trip I didn’t use cash at all). However, you will need to make sure you have at least one card that uses the chip and pin method because most gas stations require these (If you do not have a credit card that uses chip and pin, you can simply go inside the store and prepay for gas).
